Bubble Gum Ice Cream Recipe
Ingredients:
Ice Cream Base:
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1-2 teaspoons bubble gum flavoring (available online or in specialty stores)
Pink food coloring (optional, for a classic bubble gum look)
Mix-Ins (optional):
Chopped bubble gum pieces (use soft, chewy bubble gum for easier eating)
Rainbow sprinkles
Mini marshmallows
Instructions:
Prepare the Ice Cream Base:
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until the sugar is fully dissolved.
Add the bubble gum flavoring and mix well. Start with 1 teaspoon and adjust to taste (some flavorings are more concentrated than others).
If desired, add a few drops of pink food coloring to achieve the classic bubble gum color.
Chill the Mixture:
Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until thoroughly chilled. This ensures the ice cream churns smoothly.
Churn the Ice Cream:
Pour the chilled mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions (usually about 20-25 minutes).
Add Mix-Ins:
In the last 5 minutes of churning, gently fold in chopped bubble gum pieces, sprinkles, or mini marshmallows if desired. Be careful not to overmix, as the bubble gum pieces may stick together.
Freeze:
Transfer the churned ice cream to a freezer-safe container.
Cover with parchment paper or plastic wrap pressed directly onto the surface to prevent ice crystals from forming.
Freeze for at least 4 hours, or until firm.

Tips:
If you can’t find bubble gum flavoring, you can melt soft bubble gum into the milk mixture (about 10-12 pieces) and strain it to remove any undissolved bits.
For a dairy-free version, substitute the heavy cream and milk with coconut cream and almond milk.
If using bubble gum pieces, make sure they are small and soft to avoid being too hard to chew when frozen.
